Every swimmer learns real water-safety skills β floating, breath control, and how to get back to the wall β before anything else.
No dunking, no pressure. We meet anxious kids exactly where they are and build trust before we build technique.
Swim team background and lifeguard training means strokes are taught properly from day one β not just splashing around.
Lessons are for kids ages 3β12. Not sure where your child fits? Tell me their age and comfort level in the form below and I'll place them.
Small groups sorted by skill, not age. First-timers start with getting comfortable and floating; stronger swimmers move on to freestyle, backstroke, treading, and deep-end confidence.
One-on-one attention for faster progress, stroke refinement, or kids who do better in a quieter setting without a group around them.
Simple and flexible β pay by the week, and cancel whenever you need to.

I'm Josh Lee, a student at BYU and the person teaching every lesson at Leesure Swimming. I swam competitively on a swim team and worked as a lifeguard, and I've spent the last three years teaching kids to swim.
Lessons are small on purpose. Kids learn faster when they're not waiting in line for a turn, and nervous swimmers do a lot better when someone is actually paying attention to them. Every lesson starts with water safety and builds from there.
A swimsuit and a towel. Goggles are optional β bring them if your child prefers to wear them.
Kids ages 3 to 12. Groups are sorted by skill level rather than age, so a cautious 8-year-old and a confident 5-year-old can each be in the right place.
Yes β this is a big part of what I do. No one gets forced under water. The first lessons focus on comfort, sitting on the edge, and small wins, and we build from there.
You can cancel at any time. There are no cancellation fees and no long-term commitment.
